Help and support
for caregivers

  • Managing
    stress

As someone caring for a loved one with Geographic Atrophy (GA), it’s important that you have a good understanding of the disease and the best ways to assist someone with limited central vision. Education and practical strategies can also help to lessen the stress you may be feeling.

  • Creating a safe home environment

There are a variety of ways to adjust areas of the home to make life easier for your loved one with GA. In general, you can increase lighting, control glare, use magnification, and increase contrast.

  • Tracking appointments

Help your loved one maintain and update important disease and study information, set appointment and medication reminders, keep a log of activities, and jot down notes from doctor visits.
